The federal government announced Wednesday the appointment of Rashid Mahmood Langriyal as the new Chairman of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR).
The notification confirming his appointment has been officially issued.
Langriyal, a Grade 21 officer, was previously serving as Secretary of the Power Division. His appointment comes following the decision of the current FBR Chairman Amjad Zubair Tiwana to seek early retirement.
Langrial, an alumnus of Government College Lahore and Harvard Kennedy School from where he did his Master's in Public Administration (International Development) (MPA-ID), has authored a book: "Story of the Fair Sex: Socioeconomic Conditions of Women Through Time".
