Popular instant messaging app, WhatsApp has brought for its users more liberty on sending voice notes in status updated with the latest feature update introduced by the company.
An article published by WABetaInfo revealed that the Meta-owned messenger is rolling out the ability to record and share longer voice notes via status updates for its users on iOS and Android.
“This feature extends the duration to up to 1 minute per voice note, allowing users to share their updates without the need for multiple recordings,” the WhatsApp news tracker said.
The new feature will provide users with greater flexibility over their sharing experience without the constraints of the previous 30-second limit, as they can now record and share more detailed audio messages through their statuses.
The new WhatsApp feature allows users to share more meaningful and extended clips.
WhatsApp released the improvements to some beta testers with the WhatsApp beta for Android 2.24.7.6 update, and is reportedly exploring innovations to for status updates, specifically linked to voice notes.
Some users with the latest WhatsApp version can access this new feature currently. Android users can access the update on the Google Play Store, whereas, iOS users can install it from the App Store. Moreover, this new WhatsApp feature is expected to roll out to more users in the coming days.
