Apple is probably prepping up for some major camera upgrades in its upcoming iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max models.
According to a user on Weibo, the iPhone 16 Pro will come with a new 48MP ultrawide camera, improving its photographic capabilities drastically. This information aligns with earlier rumors, first mentioned last October.
In addition to this, the iPhone 16 Pro is rumored to feature the 5x Tetraprism telephoto module currently found in the iPhone 15 Pro Max, as confirmed by popular analyst Ming-Chi Kuo.
This means that the telephoto features will now be shared by both the Pro and Pro Max models in the iPhone 16 lineup.
However, the Weibo post clarifies that the iPhone 16 Pro Max will not see any further zoom enhancements. Instead, it will focus on improving the ultrawide camera, ensuring both Pro models have a reliable telephoto feature.
These expected upgrades promise to deliver a more powerful and dynamic photography experience for iPhone users, keeping Apple at the forefront of smartphone camera technology.
