Elon Musk has announced a new opportunity for users to generate revenue from the micro-blogging platform X (formerly Twitter) through their content.
Users can now monetize their movies, TV series, or podcasts by enabling subscriptions on the platform.
Tesla's CEO made an announcement in response to his sister Tosca Musk's post.
Tosca, who is the co-founder of the streaming service Passionflix, expressed her joy, stating, "Love that people are watching my movies here on X."
In his response, the tech billionaire noted, "Post your movies, TV series, or podcasts on this platform and monetize by turning on subscriptions!"
Shortly after Musk's announcement, users flooded the comment section with various suggestions and feedback.
One user noted, "You should let us post films and charge a one-time fee. This way people can buy the movie without having to buy a subscription. X becomes a genuine movie platform!"
While another penned, "X would need a seriously revamped video-playing mechanism though. Would love to see that happen."
Moreover, Elon Musk's social media platform X recently launched a new feature called 'Stories,' which will summarize news events within the app using Grok.
