The Senior women cricketer Sana Mir asked the PCB for developing a backup plan before dissolving departmental cricket from domestic structure.

“Many players are employed under departments, means when you finish a department it affects the lives of many cricketers,” She said while talking to the media in Karachi.

The veteran women cricketer said that it is important for a player to earn well in order to look after diets and other expenses. “It will be difficult to manage expenses for a player if there is no job,” she added.

“You need to strengthen the regions before finishing departmental cricket,” She opined.

While answering to a question regarding their upcoming series against South Africa, the right-handed batswoman said that the girls in green need to remain focused against the protease.

“South Africa have a strong side and it is not an easy task to beat them in their backyard,” Sana said while She rated opponents’ bowling attack highly.

She called Pakistan as favorites to win the upcoming edition of the World Cup, which is schedule to start from May 30 in England and Wales.

“For me, Pakistan is the best side as I belong to this country, Apart from green shirts, I think India, Australia and England are strong sides too,” she said.

Sana Mir is attending a fitness and training camp now-a-days at National Stadium Karachi ahead of their ICC Women’s Championship fixture against South Africa.
