Pakistan hockey team’s new kit for the upcoming world cup in India was unveiled in a grand style at a ceremony attended by Peshawar Zalmi and Haier CEO, Javed Afridi, management and others.
Ahead of the team’s departure to India for hockey world cup, the sponsors Haier Pakistan organised a kit unveiling programme and a send-off for the team in Lahore on Saturday.
With the entire team and Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) officials present, a team song was also released.
During his speech, Javed Afridi said that Pakistan Hockey Team has brought great prestige to the nation by winning four World Cups, three Champions Trophy and three Olympic gold medals in the past.
“I am hopeful that they will bring back the prestige ahead of the World Cup being held in India and perform really well," he added.
The management of Pakistan Hockey Federation along with the players thanked the Peshawar Zalmi and Haier management for all their efforts.
Haier and PHF signed an MOU in which Haier Pakistan will be the title sponsor of Pakistan Hockey Team till 2020.
