The Rangers have arrested 15 accused involved in heinous crimes from various parts of the city and recovered huge cache of arms, ammunition and heroin.
According to Rangers spokesperson, an accused of target killing and theft, Abdul Basit alias Jeo was arrested from Modal Colony while other 14 accused were arrested in raids from Gulshan-e-Iqbal, New Karachi, Model Colony and Awami Colony.
The arrested accused identified as Raz Gul, Muhammad Ashraf, Hamidullah, Naseem Gul, Kismat Khan, Abdul Rehman, Muhammad Hassan, Salman, Yousaf Khan, Muhammad Younas, Abdul Ghani and Sangi Pervez. Accused were involved in smuggling of heroin in the area as illegal arms and ammunition were also recovered from their possession.
Later, the accused have been handed over to police for further investigation.
