    Sindh Inspector General of Police, AD Khowaja chaired a meeting Tuesday to review implementation of Karachi Operation also the measures adopted under National Action Plan for the security of CPEC related schemes in the province.

    The meeting was also attended by Additional IG – Sindh, Additional IG – Karachi, Additional IG – Special Branch, DIG – Headquarters and other senior police officers.

    The meeting explicitly discussed performance of the personnel deputed on security duties around CPEC related as well as non CPEC development projects.

    Sindh police chief said there was need to expedite and also streamline the ongoing Karachi operation with a comprehensive approach against all miscreants and steady crackdown against street criminals.

    “Security coverage of foreign experts associated with CPEC and non CPEC projects must be extended to zonal and district level, that too in most efficient manner,” emphasized the IGP – Sindh.

    He called upon all the police personnel to play their role in creating a public friendly atmosphere restoring confidence of the citizens on the department in general.

    AD Khowaja directed the DIGs to keep strict vigilance on the performance of SHOs, specially in context of their public dealing and initiatives taken by them to redress public grievances.

    He said concerned SPs must be made to ensure that their subordinates may necessarily deliver in accordance to their professional responsibilities and obligations.
