The Sindh government has announced a two-day ban on pillion-riding of motorbikes in Karachi from Wednesday midnight to Friday.
According to Sindh Home Department, the ban will come into effect from 12am and remain in place till Jan. 1, 2016 (Friday).
The ban will not be applicable on women, children, senior citizens and journalists.
Officials said a notification has been issued in this regard “to maintain security on the new year night.”
During the two days, aerial firing, display of arms, removal of silencer of motorcycles and one-wheeling of bikes would not be allowed, officials said.
