    Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has said that the law and order situation of Karachi has considerably improved.

    PM Nawaz Sharif, addressing traders and industrialists on Friday, said that terrorists are attacking media persons and police officers as they have no other options left.

    “We will not be intimidated by such cowardly acts”, he added. He also said that Karachi will be completely peaceful in the next two years

    The Premier also said that the judicial system of the country should be improved in order for the verdict of terrorism cases are announced quickly.

    On 20 August 2015, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif arrived in Karachi on Thursday (today) to chair a meeting on law and order in the metropolis.

    The Prime Minister, upon his arrival in the city, was received by Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah.

    Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will chair Sindh apex committee meeting at the Governor House. Army Chief General Raheel Sharif will also attend the meeting to review the progress of Karachi operation and the law and order situation in the city.

    Top security officials will brief the meeting about the ongoing law and order situation in the province.

    The Prime Minister will also be briefed about preliminary investigations on Tuesday’s attack on MQM Member of National Assembly Rashid Godil.

    The meeting will also approve the future strategy of the law and order operation in Karachi.

    The meeting is expected to discuss formation of a committee to monitor the operation.

    Corps Commander Karachi and other high ranking officials are expected to attend the meeting.

    Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will also hold meeting with a delegation of Karachi’s Parsi community.
