Director General (DG) Airport Security Force (ASF) said on Tuesday that a passenger aircraft was the target of airport tragedy of June 8, however timely action by commandos dashed the goals of the terrorists.
Talking to media, DG ASF Sohail Ahmed said that the soldiers of ASF had proved their mettle by defeating the terrorists.
He said that the terrorists aimed at destroying a plane full of passengers.
DG ASF Sohail Ahmed said that uniform of the personnel had been changed after the incident adding that the Fokker gate closed after the terrorist attack will be opened soon.
