At least three people were killed in acts of violence in different parts of Karachi.
According to details, some unidentified persons opened fire and shot dead a man and wounded another in Garden area.
In another firing incident in New Karachi area, an unidentified man was shot dead while a woman named Afshan was shot dead in Sarjani area.
A dacoit was also killed during an encounter with police on University Road. Meanwhile, police have also raided a gambling den, run by Hazoor Bakhsh alias Chacha and arrested four people. Hazoor Bakhsh managed to escape from the scene. Police have also recovered arms and drugs from the area.
