    Interior Ministry has ordered a red alert for the law enforcement agencies in Lahore over terrorism threat to Punjab Assembly and other important places in the city.

    An intelligence agency has informed the government of Punjab about the threat of terrorist attack in Lahore. The government has been informed that five terrorists could target Punjab Assembly or other government buildings under a plot hatched in South Waziristan tribal region.

    After the report police conducted raids at Badami Bagh, Ghalib Market, Chauhang, Cantt, Iqbal Town, Race Course and other localities and detained 70 suspects in search operations.

    Moreover, Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) has cancelled a party rally expected to be led by Imran Khan due to security fears.

    Chairman Imran Khan will now address a gathering of the party workers at PTI Secretariat in Lahore.
