Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khattak will be chairing an emergency meeting of his cabinet today to discuss the aftermaths of Thursday’s missile attack in Hangu district which left six people dead.

The meeting has been called on the directive of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chairman Imran Khan who lashed out at Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif yesterday and blamed him for ‘dual policies’.
Khan has signaled in his press conference that PTI provincial can officially block the NATO supply line in protest against US strikes. He announced that his party would stage a strong protest against drone attacks in Peshawar on Saturday.
Yesterday, missiles were fired on a seminary in Tal tehsil of Hangu, killing six people, including the madrasah students and teachers, the first such strike in settled areas of KPK.
Pakistan’s Foreign Office strongly condemns the missile strike, saying that “these strikes are a violation of Pakistan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.”
“These drone strikes have a negative impact on government’s efforts to bring peace and stability in Pakistan and the region,” the FO statement said.
