Nine soldiers of Pakistan Army were martyred in a suicide attack near an army convoy in Jani Khel, area of Bannu.
According to Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), a motorcycle-borne assailant committed suicide near an army convoy.
ISPR added that nine soldiers of Pakistan Army were martyred, while five security personnel were also injured in the suicide attack.
After the incident, the security forces have surrounded the area and started a search operation.
It is also told by ISPR that Pakistan's security forces are committed to end the menace of terrorism. Such sacrifices of our brave soldiers strengthen our resolve.
On the other hand, Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar said in a statement that he is heartbroken by the loss of nine valiant soldiers in Bannu Division, KPK, to a cowardly terrorist act that injured many.
