An avalanche smashed into Pakistan army post martyred a soldier in Skardu.
Security officials said the incident was reported in Olding area near Skardu where an army officer was martyred and three others were wounded. Two people reportedly went missing when an avalanche hit the area.
Rescue operation is underway to recover the missing personnel.
In April 2012, at least 140 army soldiers were buried in Gayari sector near Skardu after an avalanche smashed into an army base on a Himalayan glacier along the Indian border. Bodies of the soldiers were recovered last year.
