Amid growing demand, Airblue undertook its first flight to Gilgit Baltistan’s Skardu Airport here on Thursday.
The development comes at a time when demand for air travel has witnessed a manifold surge.
Private airlines’ operation to the region is seen as a crucial step towards promoting tourism in the region.
Earlier, Gilgit-Baltistan’s Minister for Tourism, Raja Nasir Ali Khan had announced that “Airblue is likely to start flights for Skardu from mid of August.”
