Pakistan People s Party (PPP) senior leader Aitzaz Ahsan on Thursday condemned the arrest of Khursheed Shah saying that the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) had no reason to arrest PPP stalwart and detained him without any prior knowledge.
Aitzaz Ahsan asserted that neither he booked a ticket nor was running away from the country but was attending a party meeting when he was arrested which is a very shameful act done by the NAB.
Talking to media, he expressed that PPP leadership went to hospital for well-being of Khursheed Shah and they were happy to see a smile on his face.
PPP leader said that doctors are concerned about Shah’s health as they diagnosed gastrointestinal problem along with high blood pressure.
Earlier, PPP senior leader Syed Khursheed Shah has been admitted to Polyclinic Hospital after his condition worsened in NAB custody. The former opposition leader said that he was having difficulty in breathing, while his heartbeat rate was also recorded higher than normal.
