    Deputy Chairman Senate Saleem Mandviwala has called for enhancing parliamentary activities between Pakistan and Switzerland in order to encourage exchange of ideas and partnerships.

    He was talking to Ambassador of Switzerland Thomas Kolly, who called on him in Islamabad.

    Deputy Chairman Senate stressed the need for activation of friendship groups on both sides.

    Speaking about investment and trade issues, he said currently trade of around 1.2 billion dollars between Pakistan and Switzerland, of which a major chunk consists of Pakistani imports. He urged the Ambassador to identify Pakistani products having high potential in Swiss markets.

    The Swiss ambassador agreed with the views of Deputy Chairman Senate and said both countries can achieve a lot through enhanced interactions and increased bilateral cooperation.
