Director General Military Operations of Pakistan and India held a meeting at Wagah on Tuesday and discussed mechanism to ease tension and ensure peace at the Line of Control.
Officials said the Pakistani side was led by Director General Military Operations Major General Aamer Riaz while the Indian side by Lieutenant General Vinod Bhatia. The talks were held in cordial and congenial environment, officials said.
The meeting, which lasted for one-and-a-half hour, held towards Pakistan side at Wagh border at Lahore. Such a contact was made after 14 years.
Sources said the two sides held in-depth discussion over implementation of 2003 pact of ceasefire on the Control Line and working boundary.
