President Arif Alvi has said provision of better health facilities to the people is amongst the top priorities of the government.
The President made the remarks while talking to vice Chancellor of National University of Medical Sciences Lieutenant General Syed Muhammad Imran Majeed in Islamabad on Wednesday.
Arif Alvi stressed the need for establishing contacts and promoting collaboration with the international institutes of health.
The President said the standard of medical education in the country needs to be improved to produce professionally competent doctors in order to provide efficient healthcare services to the people.
The President also underlined the importance of establishing linkages between national and international universities to learn from each other's experiences.
