The Election Commission of Pakistan expressing concern over the shortcoming in voter lists and delimitation vowed to remove all kind of barriers in the way to holding the local bodies by-election.
It was decided in a meeting to review preparations for by-elections on National and provincial assemblies was held at the Election Commission of Pakistan Islamabad today.
Chief Election Commissioner Sardar Muhammad Raza chaired the meeting.
The Commission expressed satisfaction over reports of the provincial election commissioners regarding preparations for the by-elections.
The meeting decided to remove hurdles in holding by-elections of local governments and conduct them at the earliest.
