Prime Minister Imran Khan has said Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf believes in transfer of powers to grass root level, which is only possible by strengthening the local government system.
Chairing a meeting regarding local government system in Islamabad on Saturday, he said empowered people in a local bodies system can be the best form of the government.
Imran Khan said people should take their decisions by their own, which is not possible without ensuring a strong local government system in Pakistan.
He said local government system will be made functional on the pattern of government's experience in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The Prime Minister said people will be strengthened by empowering the local bodies.
