    The opposition leader in National assembly Khursheed Shah on Wednesday declared Nawaz Sharif ineligible for Party president and reiterated party stance that disqualified person could not become party head.

    Talking to media outside the parliament, Shah said that Nawaz Sharif did not eligible for even politics as how can he become the head of a party.

    “We know the numbers force of the opposition in parliament, however it is the issue of principles not defeat or victory,” he clarified.

    Replying a query regarding his meeting with PM Abbasi, Shah said that PM requested for support in senate for delimitation of constituencies and also meeting with the party high ups- Asif Ali Zardari and Bilawal Bhutto.

    He advised the government to get support from army to end the long sit in at Faizabad, that has disrupted the life in capital.

    Earlier, Shah met with Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, in the meeting PM urged Opposition Leader to help pass laws related to making constituencies in the Senate.

    According to the sources, during his meeting with Shah, PM Abbasi requested for a meeting with the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leadership to help gain a majority in the upper house of Parliament for passing laws related to delimitation.

    “The premier wants to meet PPP Chairperson Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari,” Shah said, adding that he can only convey the message to the party leadership.
