The government has so far disbursed over six thousand and five hundred business loans worth five point eight billion rupees amongst potential entrepreneurs across the country under Prime Minister‘s Youth Business Loan (PMYBL) Scheme.
According to officials, about one hundred thousand interest free loans worth over two billion rupees have also been granted to the poorest of the poor in forty four under developed districts under the prime minister s interest free loan scheme.
Prime Minister‘s Youth Skill Development Programme has trained twenty five thousand youth in more than one hundred demand-driven trades in Phase-I. It is currently training another 25,000 trainees under Phase-II of the Programme.
Under the Fee Reimbursement Scheme, fee of almost one hundred thousand students hailing from less developed areas has been paid or reimbursed since the launch of the scheme in 2013-14.
The officials said Prime Minister s Youth Training paid internship scheme will be offered to fresh university students in order to enhance their employability in the market.
