  • NADRA directed to make databank of INGOs

    Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has on Friday directed National Database Registration Authority (NADRA) to make databank of International Non-Governmental Organizations (INGO) and computerize the data of the Pakistan’s visa-holders.

    Chairing a high level meeting in Islamabad, Ch Nisar directed streamlining SOPs regarding deportees belonging to various countries and reviewed the registration process of the INGOs. The meeting also discussed the reward system for police, Frontier Corps (FC) and Federal Investigation Agency (FIA). It also discussed in detail the measures to enable NACTA.

    Nisar directed NADRA to make a databank of the INGOs and update it as well. He added that the record of people desiring Pakistan’s visa also needs to be computerized. He directed Interior Ministry to finalize the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for deportees considering the kind of deportees and the reasons for their deportation.

    Interior Minister also directed forming a clear policy for rewarding performing police, FC and FIA officials with cash awards so that they can be encouraged to work even better.

    The meeting was also attended by NC NACTA, NADRA Chairman and FIA officials.
