Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Thursday has suspended non-bailable arrest warrant issued against former president Perveiz Musharraf in Ghazi murder case whereas a hearing on a plea seeking complete exemption of the accused from court would be conducted on July 27.

Justice Amir Farooq heard the case during which, the plaintiff’s counsel pleaded to suspend non-bailable warrant and requested complete exemption of the accused from court in the case.

The lawyer told the court that Musharraf has been granted with permanent exemption in Akbar Bugti case. He said that the report was earlier submitted to the trial court but no action was taken.

Meanwhile, opposition’s counsel pressurized the court not to grant exemption as Musharraf didn’t bother to appear in court once.

Subsequently, the court has adjourned the hearing till July 27 for further arguments.
