    Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar spoke with Canadian Foreign Minister Anita Anand today.

    During the telephonic conversation, both sides exchanged views on the regional situation, including the recently signed Makkah Joint Defence Agreement among Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Türkiye.

    Ishaq Dar shared with Foreign Minister Anita Anand the essence of the Agreement and the joint resolve of the three countries to contribute to regional peace, stability and security.

    They also discussed the evolving situation in the US-Iran context.

    The Deputy Prime Minister also raised the situation in Occupied East Jerusalem, including the Ministerial Meeting on Jerusalem recently held in Jordan.

    Appreciating their frequent exchanges, Ishaq Dar thanked the Canadian Foreign Minister for her recent visit to Pakistan. They agreed to remain closely engaged on issues of shared interest.
