  • Ishaq Dar arrives in Washington for talks with US officials on bilateral, regional issues

    Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar arrived in Washington, D.C. on an official visit, the Foreign Office said. Upon his arrival, Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United States Rizwan Saeed Sheikh and senior officials of the Pakistani Embassy received him at the airport.

    During the visit, Dar is scheduled to hold meetings with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio as well as the US National Security Advisor. According to the Foreign Office spokesperson, the discussions will focus on bilateral relations between Pakistan and the United States, along with matters of regional importance.

    The meetings are expected to cover a broad range of issues of mutual interest, including diplomatic cooperation and regional security dynamics.

    The Foreign Office said the deputy prime minister will complete his official engagements in Washington and return to Islamabad later the same day after concluding his scheduled meetings.
