    Police detained 14 participants, including 11 women and three men, after an attempt was made to hold the Aurat March in the federal capital without official permission.

    Among those taken into custody was Farzana Bari, a prominent activist and organiser associated with the march.

    Attempted March From F-6 to D-Chowk

    According to officials, the Aurat March organisers had announced a rally from Sector F-6 to D-Chowk in Islamabad. As participants began gathering at the location, police arrived and detained several organisers and supporters.

    Section 144 in Force

    The district administration stated that no No-Objection Certificate (NOC) had been issued for the march, while Section 144 remains enforced in the federal capital.

    Authorities said the law prohibits public gatherings and demonstrations in order to maintain law and order in the city.

    Security Measures in Islamabad

    Officials added that the enforcement of Section 144 and other security measures is part of efforts to ensure stability in the capital amid heightened security concerns.
