Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar has categorically stated that Pakistan will surely deliver a befitting and strong response to the cowardly Indian aggression carried out in the darkness of night.
Speaking on a motion in the National Assembly today (Thursday), he mentioned that the National Security Committee has authorized the armed forces to respond at a time and place of their own choosing.
The Information Minister said that India had a great pride in its superior technology Rafale jets, but our Air Force deserves appreciation for bringing that pride to dust. He said this also manifests Pakistan’s superiority in conventional warfare.
Attaullah Tarar said Pakistan has also shot down twenty five Indian drones through hard and soft hits.
He mentioned that Pakistan has inflicted heavy losses on Indian forces along the line of control. Their forty to fifty soldiers have also been killed. He said the country's defence is in strong and safe hands and the armed forces are fully prepared.
The Information Minister said the entire nation stands with the armed forces of Pakistan to respond to the Indian aggression.
Shazia Marri said Indian aggression resulted in the loss of civilian lives in Pakistan. She extended heartfelt condolences to the families who lost their dear ones in the cowardly attack. She condemned the Modi government’s atrocities in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
Tahir Iqbal highlighted the persecution of minorities especially Muslims, Sikhs and Christians in India. He said Modi is pursuing Hindutva ideology.
Important Aspects for Pakistanis:-
1. Night 6/7 May: India resorted to illegal / irresponsible aggression on a flimsy CT premise (if any). The fact that India has not opted to present any evidence of alleged Pakistani involvement or to accept Pakistan's offer of impartial / neutral invetigation, bears testimony to her obsession with pre-meditated aggression.
Furthermore the attacks were conducted against civilian targets. Pakistan responded, in self defence, responsibly & aggressively and shot down Indian Air Force assets, inlcuding loss of 3 x pilots. This is an unprecented success against state of the art technologies / platforms of the enemy which is being acknowledged / recognised / acclaimed around the globe.
Similarly, approximately 40-50 Indian Army soldiers have been killed including very effective attacks on posts, battalion headquarters, as well as brigade headquarters. Indian denial to admit the losses is understandable in view of their history of suppresing / not acknowledging failures: they even awarded Vir Chakra to their pilot Abhinandan despite losing his aircraft & despite US's confirmation that no Pakistani F-16 was lost.
2. Night 7/8 May: India has continued to pursue the escalatory path, this time against targets of 3 x types: 1) Engagement of Sikh / Sikh religious targets in India with 3 fold objectives: a) Give Sikhs a msg to behave b) Project this as Pakistani attack on Sikhs to sow discord c) Use the debris to carve notion of victory by projecting these as 'fallen' PAF aircafts. 2) Military targets to undermine own defensive / offensive capabilities of Pakistan 3) Civilian targets to create a sense of disillusionment.
Alhamdolillah, Pakistan has once again given a befitting defensive response by shooting down most of the drones. So far Pakistan has downed 25 Indian (Israeli made HAROP) drones all over Pakistan. It may also be noted that flying drone is normal but shotting it down is extraordinary and that is to huge credit of Pakistan's Defence Forces. We also need to understand that India is frustrated because of huge reputational loss on night 6/7 May, hence trying recover the damage done by PAF.
3. Looking Forward: India took 2 x weeks to mount a aggression against Pakistan since Pahalgam. Pakistan will respond to this growing belligerence and will do so at the time & place of own chosing, in line with aspirations of the nation. Nation needs to have full confidence in the abilities of its defence forces.
4. Information / Psychological Operations: India is launching huge / simultaneous disinformation campaigns aimed at negatively affecting the morale & trust of our populace. We need to watch out and share information only after necessary verification.
