Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Omar Ayub Khan said on Thursday that party leaders had been denied access to Imran Khan for a scheduled meeting against court orders.

Omary Ayub, who has been nominated as the opposition leader in the National Assembly, made the claim while speaking to the media outside Adiala Jail.

He specifically named jail superintendent Asad Warraich as the person who had denied him access.

Khan said that there can be no rule of law in a country where a public servant considers himself above court orders.

The PTI leader questioned Shehbaz Sharif’s claims of rule of law in the National Assembly if he was being denied a meeting with his ‘leader’.

Imran Khan is in Adiala Jail after being receiving sentences in multiple cases including the illegal nikah case, cipher case and Toshakhana case.

Since being arrested on August 5 last year, Khan has not been seen outside jail. His court hearings have also taken inside jail premises.
