National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Thursday has accepted the plea bargain of former finance secretary Mushtaq Raisani who has offered to return Rs2 billion.
According to details, Mushtaq Raisani has confessed to the charges after which his plea bargain was approved however, he will be suspended from his post.

On the other hand, more two references would b filed against former Prime Minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf while inquiry against Asif Ali Zardari’s brother-in-law Munawar Talpur has been closed.

On May 6, 2016 Raisani was taken into custody after a team of the NAB recovered sensitive documents and Rs603 million in cash and jewelry worth Rs 40 million during a raid at his residence.
Following the seizure of funds, Raisani was arrested from his office and within days Khalid Langov, Finance Advisor was also detained.

Reportedly, around 50 ghost bank accounts were revealed to be existing in the issue however, no funds were transferred abroad.
