    A new rain-producing westerly system is expected to enter Pakistan on February 16, bringing rain and thunderstorms to multiple regions, including Karachi.

    According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department, the weather system will begin affecting different parts of the country from Monday evening and continue into Tuesday.

     Balochistan Forecast (Feb 16–17)

    Rain and thunderstorms are expected in several areas of Balochistan on February 16 and 17 as the system moves across the province.

     Karachi & Sindh (Feb 17)

    Showers and thunderstorms are also forecast for Karachi and other parts of Sindh on February 17 (Tuesday).

    KP & South Punjab

    Rain is predicted in Waziristan, Bannu, and Dera Ismail Khan on February 16 and 17.
    Additionally, several areas of south Punjab are likely to receive rainfall on February 17.

     Hailstorm Warning

    The Met Department has warned of possible hailstorms in DI Khan, Dera Ghazi Khan, and parts of north Balochistan during this weather spell.

    Residents in affected areas are advised to remain cautious, particularly during thunderstorms and potential hailstorms, and to avoid unnecessary travel during severe weather conditions.
