Renowned writer and Sindhi Novelist Agha Saleem passed away on Tuesday in a private hospital where he was admitted for a while.
According to the report, official announcement for funeral arrangement will be made public soon. It is expected that he will be laid to rest after Asar prayers in Defense Housing Authority phase II.
Earlier in January, Special Assistant to CM Sindh for Culture and Tourism Sharmila Faruqui visited the private hospital to inquire about the health of renowned writer and intellectual Agha Saleem.
The Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai and Mysticism Award Committee of the academy of letters selected a book by Agha Saleem, “Melody of Clouds”, for the cash award in 2005.
