The All Pakistan Private Schools Association (APPSA) has formally reached out to the Chief Minister of Punjab and the Secretary of Higher Education, advocating for a one-month delay in the matriculation exams.

APPSA Central President, Mian Shabir Ahmad Hashmi, highlighted concerns in a letter, cited the adverse impact of smog and winter holidays on students and called for delay in matriculation exams.

According to media reports, Hashmi emphasized that the extended holidays have resulted in a significant loss of valuable study time for students.

Hashmi stated that the children’s syllabus remains incomplete due to the nearly month-long break. To compensate for this loss, he urged for an additional month for matriculation exams to cover the syllabus comprehensively, allowing for revision and test sessions.

Proposing a revised exam schedule, Hashmi suggested initiating matriculation exams from April 15th. He argued that the extended holidays and upcoming elections further support the need for this adjustment.

The APPSA’s request encompasses all examinations, including PAF, PEMA, and Matric, urging authorities to consider a unified one-month delay in their commencement.

The association aims to ensure a fair and adequately prepared student body for these crucial assessments.
