The Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) has officially announced the schedule of winter vacations for all educational institutions in Islamabad.
As per the official notification issued recently by the FDE, schools and colleges across Islamabad under FDE will observe winter holidays from December 25 to December 29.
Notably, December 30 and December 31 will also be designated as holidays due to Saturday and Sunday falling on these dates.
Academic activities in Islamabad’s schools and colleges are set to resume on January 1, 2024.
In anticipation of the winter season, adjustments to the operational hours of schools and colleges in both urban and rural areas of the federal capital were also announced in November.
According to the previous notification, these revised timings for educational institutes will remain in effect in Islamabad until January 31, 2024.
For single-shift schools and colleges in Islamabad, the updated schedule outlines operations from 8:30 am to 2:00 pm, Monday through Thursday.
However, Fridays will have a different timing, concluding at 12:30 pm for an early closure.
