Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Youth Affairs Usman Dar has said the ‘National Youth Empowerment Card’ would be launched soon to economically empower and socially uplift the marginalized segments of society, especially disabled and rural youth.

Usman Dar said the government had started work on new policy to empower youth by taking innovative steps.

“With cooperation of provinces under the youth development programme, maximum youth will get benefits from the initiatives of the government,” he said while talking to media.

The special assistant to PM said besides provision of health, education and job facilities to the youth, the government was working for their maximum participation in policy making to make the country more prosperous.

He said the government was making efforts to secure the future of skilled and talented youth under Prime Minister’s Youth Development Programme across the country.

The Punjab IT Board and Ministry of Youth Affairs on January 26 jointly launched a three-month free E-Rozgar Training Programme for the youth, aimed at imparting vocational training to the jobless, enabling them to earn their livelihood honourably.

The requisites of getting admission include that the applicant should have an CNIC, his minimum age should be 16, maximum age 35 and should be jobless.
