Gold prices in Pakistan rebounded sharply on Tuesday after a three-day hiatus, with the price of 24-karat gold climbing by Rs2,830 per tola to reach Rs455,063 in the local market.

According to data released by the local bullion association, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold also rose by Rs2,306 to settle at Rs389,534.

The domestic rally was driven by a strong performance in the international bullion market, where gold prices advanced amid renewed investor demand.

In the international market, gold rose by $28.29 to reach $4,326.27 per ounce.

Local traders noted that the historic highs in domestic rates continue to be heavily influenced by both global market volatility and fluctuations in the value of the Pakistani rupee.

In tandem with gold, domestic silver prices also recorded gains in the local market on Tuesday.

The price of per tola silver increased by Rs141 to close at Rs7,314.

Similarly, the price of 10 grams of silver gained Rs129, bringing the new domestic rate to Rs6,245.
