Federal Minister for Information and Broadcast Fawad Chaudhry on Wednesday highlighted the efforts of the state in eliminating terrorism which paved the way for organizing Pakistan Super League (PSL) matches in the country.

Speaking to media, Fawad said “it is due to counter-terrorism measures that PSL has come back to Pakistan.”

He noted that playgrounds are being revived in the country.

The government is effectively implementing National Action Plan against the menace of terrorism, the minister added.

Last week, Chaudhry expressed immense displeasure over Indian cricket team’s donning military cap during a match against Australia in India.

He had urged the Pakistan Cricket Board to lodge a formal protest against this uncalled for act.

In an angry note, Chaudhry Fawad Hussain said it was just not cricket. He expressed hope from the International Cricket Council (ICC) to take action for politicising ‘the gentleman’s game’.
