A notorious terrorist Ghaffar Zikri along with his three years old son and another fellow were killed in an operation in Lyari area of Karachi today.
Addressing a press conference in Karachi, the city Police Chief Ameer Sheikh said Ghaffar Zikri was wanted to police in a number of high profile cases including kidnapping for ransom, target killing, extortion and attacks on law enforcement agencies. He carried head money of 2.5 million rupees.
The Karachi Police Chief announced a cash prize of five hundred thousand rupees for the police party involved in the action.
Two police personnel were also injured in the encounter.
A huge quantity of arms and ammunition have been recovered from the scene.
