    The country is observing the 39th death anniversary of former prime minister Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, who also founded the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), today (Wednesday).

    A ceremony, for which arrangements were completed Tuesday night, is slated to be held at Jinnah Park (Old Jail). Speaking to APP, Baber Khan Jadoon, the president of the PPP's City Chapter, said a Quran Khawani would be held at 10 AM and dua will be offered at 1 PM.

    The PPP's local leadership, as well as that around in various areas of Punjab, will attend the ceremony and highlight the achievements of Bhutto, who struggled for the democracy in the country and sacrificed his life for the people of Pakistan.

    April 4 declared a holiday
    The Sindh Labour and Human Resources Department announced on Monday that it was declaring April 4 as a public holiday across Sindh that should be observed in accordance by all workers in the province.

    This move was announced via a statement.
