Police and Rangers have failed to prevent bloodshed in the city.
Target killings in Karachi continued on Thursday as another 5 people lost their lives in various acts of violence in last few hours.In the first incident, a person was shot dead near Ayesha Manzil last night. The deceased was identified as Qasim, a resident of Liaquatabad area.
Relatives of the victim protested against the incident and some angry protestors torched a bus.
An unidentified body was found in Bufferzone area, police said.
Early morning, unknown gunmen also killed a man in Khayaban-e-Rahat in Defence area.
Separately, a woman got injured in firing incident in Ittehad Town area of Baldia.Law-enforcement agencies in the city appear to have failed to maintain law and order.So far more than 20 people have been killed and many others were wounded as the the wave of target killings intensified during past 24 hours.
