An error in distribution of party tickets or a political trick, a twice nominated MPA of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Nazia Raheel has been awarded the ticket from Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI).

Following the move, Nazia has expressed resentment over the candidates list issued by PTI and has announced legal action against them.

Details suggest that PTI West Punjab has issued ticket to Nazia from PP-122 of Toba Tek Singh’s Kamalia district.

Moreover, her ID card and contact number has also been written wrong on PTI’s list.

Besides this, Azam Cheela from PP-125 Jhang has also been included in the list. He has garnered success in 2013 over PML-N ticket and has now announced to contest election as an independent candidate.

PTI has issued the list of candidates for both national and provincial assemblies. Chairman Imran Khan said that those who have not been given tickets should not be disappointed but help the party members to bring real change in the country.

The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has also revised the election program for the upcoming general election scheduled for July 25.

According to a notification of the ECP, the candidates now can file their nomination papers until June 11 and the preliminary list of the candidates will also be issued on the same day.
