    Police and protesters clashed outside the dera [offic] of Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah on Canal Road Sunday evening. More than 1,000 protesters belonging to a religious party had gathered outside and surrounded the house of Rana Sanaullah.

    The protesters had pelted stones at the policemen deployed outside the minister's guest house. At least, one police officer was injured. In order to disperse the protesters, the police shelled them with tear gas.

    In response to the brewing violence, the police cordoned off the area.

    Rana Sanaullah is not present at his dera [office].

    Moreover, unidentified men also attacked the the dera of another Punjab government official in Sialkot, reported Geo News.

    However, Punjab Local Government Minister Manshaullah Butt was not present at his dera.

    The men vandalised his office, tore banners and broke tubelights and then ran away.

    Protesters belonging to a religious group continued to stage sit-ins and block roads in various cities after security forces started operation to disperse the Islamabad sit-in Saturday morning.
