After a long 59 years Punjab Police has a new color uniform starting today.
According to details Olive-colored new uniform has replaced the old black shirt and khaki trousers unifrm. About 42,000 new uniforms are being provided to Punjab police personnel who call the new uniform better looking and more comfortable.
On the other hand people hope that trdaitional police culture would also change with the change of uniform.
Punjab police personnel welcoming the new outfit say that black color during summer felt more hot while the new uniform would lessen the intensity of weather.
