Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Shehbaz Sharif said on Tuesday that three-time prime minister Nawaz Sharif will take the country out of the quagmire if voted into power.

Addressing the public gathering in Kasur, Shehbaz recounted the contributions made by the PML-N supremo, saying, "Nawaz Sharif had made the country an atomic power."

"On one side of the wall, there is Nawaz Sharif, who embraces patriotism, and on the other side, there are elements that wish to plunder the national wealth," Shehbaz said.

"We will develop Kasur district the same way as Lahore if I emerge victorious in the upcoming general elections, slated to happen on February 8," Shehbaz said.

Few days back, Shehbaz Sharif said that his party was "capable" of controlling the inflation in the country.

The party leaders from Balochistan, Punjab, and Sindh held a meeting with Shehbaz Sharif in Lahore. Prominent among those who met the PML-N president were Jaffar Khan Mandokhail, Jam Kamal, Sumaira Malik, and Khawaja Shoaib. PML-N stalwart Sardar Ayaz Sadiq was also present on the occasion.

Shehbaz Sharif said: "The PML-N is the biggest of all the political parties in the country. The PML-N is the symbol of the country's development and the centre's strength."
