Benazir Income Support Program Scam Unearthed In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa And FATA

PESHAWAR: The misappropriation of millions from the Benazir Income Support Program (BISP) in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and FATA postal departments has come to the surface on Wednesday here.
Over 72 thousand widows and poverty-stricken persons are provided financial help under BISP in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and FATA, but this relief amount in fact did not reach to the thousands of such persons.
According to documents obtained by the Geo News the amounts were received under one person’s signatures on behalf of scores of persons.
Sources said that Accountability Bureau has started investigation into the scam and has seized three mini-trucks loaded with records.
