Chairman Hurriyat Forum Mirwaiz Umar Farooq on Tuesday expressed gratitude on behalf of people of Indian occupied Kashmir for support to their struggle for right to self-determination.

“As Pakistan observes #KashmirSolidarityDay people of Jammu & Kashmir express their gratitude to the state and its people for their vigorous and unwavering support to our democratic struggle for right to self determination,” Mirwaiz wrote in a tweet on the occasion of Kashmir Solidarity Day.

“Want to share that the backlash of grave human rights abuses, repression inflicted upon us the people of Kashmir for pursuing our dream is unprecedented!” he maintained.

The Kashmiri leader said the citizens of the valley were thankful to Pakistan and its people for their political, moral and diplomatic support for resolution of the Kashmir conflict in accordance with the wishes of the locals.

Indian atrocities were inciting youth further and pushing them to retaliate violently, he added.

The chairman Hurriyat Forum on Monday disclosed that a toddler was “pepper sprayed” and his father was beaten in Indian occupied Kashmir (IOK).

“8 month old toddler pepper sprayed, her father Mudassir mercilessly beaten when he intervened as police ransack their home yesterday without any provocation and target the family of slain Rayees sofi of Fateh Kadal!” said Farooq.
