Interpol on Saturday has refused to issue red warrants for the arrest of Hussain Nawaz on the application submitted by Pakistani government.

As per details, a five-member commission of the Interpol reviewed the application submitted by the Pakistani government to issue red warrants for the arrest of Hussain Nawaz. The commission, however, rejected the application which caused a major blow to the efforts of Pakitan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) led government against the family of former Premier Nawaz in an ongoing probe against corruption allegations.

The Interpol has also made it clear to the Pakistani government that the submitted shreds of evidence are insufficient to hear so the application is rejected by the commission. A detailed verdict on 11 pages has also been issued by the Interpol.

Earlier, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has pleaded the Interpol to issue red warrants for the arrest of the former premier’s son Hussain Nawaz.

The application also consisted background of the previous verdicts against Nawaz Sharif, Maryam Nawaz and Capt (R) Safdar.
